Incentive Information

Emerald can work with you and your contractor to install energy efficient insulation to minimize wasted energy and lower electric heating and cooling bills. Rebates are paid by the square foot for projects that adhere to Emerald’s installation standards. We’re here to help you assess opportunities, select experienced installers to provide you with quotes, and guide you through the process.

Eligibility
• Building occupied by an active Emerald customer served by a non-residential rate schedule.
• Building uses electric heat. Emerald shall verify weather-related electric heating use.
• Participant is authorized to make improvements.
• All applicable permits must be obtained to qualify for rebates.
• This program requires a FREE Emerald Energy Audit to confirm eligibility and discover additional efficiency opportunities and incentives.
Requirements
• Insulation must be installed in accordance with the current Residential Weatherization Specification.
• Participant authorizes Emerald to conduct quality inspections to ensure program specifications are followed.
• Installation must be completed within 90 days of project pre-authorization.
Steps to Participate
We can help you identify savings opportunities, find qualified contractors, and ensure compliance with program requirements.

1. Confirm eligibility for your program by contacting Emerald's Energy Services. Schedule your FREE Emerald Energy Audit to confirm program eligibility.
2. Find approved contractors and get project cost estimates; we suggest getting multiple bids from contractors.
3. Submit the Commercial Insulation Incentive Application Form along with contractor invoices showing products installed, installation date, and total project cost.
4. Once installation is complete, contact Emerald to schedule the final inspection to ensure compliance with the information provided on the incentive application.
5. Utility will authorize rebate payment upon final approval.
6. The rebate will be processed once the inspection is completed.
