Incentive Information

Emerald offers options to help you pay for your new variable speed heat pump including cash rebates or zero-interest loans. Pacific Cascade Federal Credit Union offers qualifying Emerald customers a zero-interest loan of up to $7,500 for homes installing a qualifying heat pump. Minimum insulation levels must be met to qualify for this program, see “Eligibility” for details. Incentives subject to change without notice due to funding availability.

Incentive Information
Eligibility
• Home is an existing residential housing unit located within Emerald’s service area.
• New heat pump will be the primary home heating system and is not replacing an existing ductless system.
• Participant is authorized to make home improvements.
• Participant authorizes Emerald to conduct quality inspections to ensure program specifications are followed.
• Loan eligibility decided by Pacific Cascade Federal Credit Union.
• A FREE Home Energy Audit from Emerald is required to confirm insulation levels.
Min. Insulation: Attic of R-49, Wall of R-11, Floor of R-30
Requirements
• New equipment must have at least a 9.0 HSPF/7.6 HSPF2 and 14.0 SEER/13.4SEER2. Outdoor compressor must be variable speed or inverter-driven.
• Ducted heat pump must be installed by a certified HVAC technician.
• Required duct sealing must be done in accordance with current BPA Duct Sealing Standards and a completed Duct Sealing Form must be submitted to Emerald if applying for the Duct Sealing incentive. Prescriptive is allowed.
Steps to Participate
We can help you identify savings opportunities, find qualified contractors, and ensure compliance with program requirements.

1. Confirm eligibility for your program.
2. Schedule a Free Home Energy audit with the Emerald Energy Services team by calling 541-746-1583.
3. Find approved contractors and get project cost estimates; we suggest getting at least 3 quotes.
4. Complete your project’s rebate application and submit to Emerald for pre-authorization.
5. Following Emerald project approval, have your contractor proceed with your project. Installation must be completed within 90 days of pre-authorization.
6. Emerald will review your completed project and contact you to perform any required on-site inspections.
7. Submit all required project documentation to Emerald.
8. Emerald will authorize rebate payment upon final approval.
